Preliminary snow totals from National Weather Service

The National Weather Service office in Paducah is in the process of gathering data from Friday’s winter storm. Here’s a preliminary summary of how much snow fell across the Quad State:

Most of western Kentucky and southern Illinois received between 3.5 to 5 inches. The amounts vary due to the snow moving through in bands of varying intensity.

Southeast Missouri had the most snow overall, up to 8 inches in the Ozarks west of Poplar Bluff…
