An Elyria man who was free on bond awaiting trial on felony charges that he hit and killed another motorist in July is back in the Lorain County Jail on weapons charges following a traffic stop Friday in Eaton Township.
Joshua Thompson, 42, of University Avenue, is back behind bars on felony charges of illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon in a school safety zone and having weapons under disability, according to jail records. He was being held without bond and will have his first appearance on those charges in Elyria Municipal Court this coming week, according to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
