KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A spokesperson for the Tennessee Highway Patrol gave updated numbers Saturday evening for vehicle crashes since the winter storm hit Tennessee.
“Troopers have had to respond to over 500 crashes where people were not injured,” the spokesperson said Saturday around 7 p.m. “They’ve also had to respond to over 120 crashes where people were injured. Tragically, we have also had to respond to 3 crashes with fatalities.”

Troopers also assisted over 870 people who were broken down or stranded on highways. In addition, their dispatchers have taken over 1,700 calls statewide.
