The Waterloo wrestling program added an impressive notch to the belt of what’s already been a solid season on Saturday, Jan. 11.
That day, the Pirates made the trek down to Clinton High School to participate in the seven-team Cougar Invite. Waterloo made the most of its time there.
Freshman Kash Weisensel (144 lbs.) and sophomore Wyatt Toay (150 lbs.) both won their respective weight classes. Add in a runner-up finish from Jayk Lauersdorf at 285 lbs. and the Pirates finished with a team score of 158.5.
