A tragic incident occurred on southbound Interstate 39 when a semi-driver from Milwaukee was involved in a fatal collision with a snow plow truck near Beloit, Wisconsin. The crash was reported on Friday, and it resulted in the death of the 59-year-old semi driver. As per JSOnline, the Wisconsin State Patrol disclosed that the collision happened around 11:49 a.m. at mile marker 182 in Rock County.
According to the initial investigation, a plow truck from the Rock County Highway Department was actively working to clear the snow from the median shoulder when the semi, which was travelling in the left lane, struck the rear passenger side of the plow truck. The impact caused the semi to then jackknife and obstruct all the lanes heading southbound, as stated by The Trucker. This prompted the authorities to reroute traffic through alternate local highways until the interstate was cleared and reopened later at 5 p.m.
