Two dozen dogs rescued in neglect case, Memphis Animal Services says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Animal Services (MAS) received two dozen dogs from a felony neglect case.

The Memphis Police Department said the animals were rescued from a home on Staten Avenue in the Hyde Park neighborhood. One person was detained in connection to that animal cruelty complaint.

MAS said the rescued dogs led to higher-than-normal intakes on Monday. “These pups are counting on us for a second chance, and we need your help to make it happen,” MAS said in a Facebook post…
