On Tuesday, Jan. 14, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens , Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum , Atlanta Fire Chief Rod Smith, Atlanta Department of Transportation Commissioner Solomon Caviness IV, Executive Director of the College Football Playoff Rich Clark, and others will take part in a press conference at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Along with a number of events scheduled around the city for the annual celebration and observance of the life of native son, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on his birthday, Wednesday, Jan. 15, and on his national holiday, Monday, Jan. 20, there will be thousands of visitors making their way to Atlanta for other events.
