Madison comedian Nate Chappell has a favorite saying: “If you’ve met one autistic person, you’ve met one autistic person.”
Chappell is the host of the “Several Questions” podcast, which records live shows with local guests at Gib’s Bar and Gamma Ray Bar. He was diagnosed with autism last year. For a taping at Gamma Ray on Monday, Jan. 20, Chappell will gather an all-autistic slate of comedians to debunk some misconceptions about the autism spectrum.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show featuring only autistic (people), and that’s kind of the point,” Chappell said. “What I’m really trying to do is feature autistic people and let them show for themselves who we are, and put that part of our identity front and center for once — and celebrate it.”…
