Delta Holds Connecting Flight For Woman Trying To See Dying Mother

This one is bittersweet…a woman in Dallas reached out to thank Delta for helping her say goodbye to her mom, who passed away in October.

Hannah White was trying to get to Bismarck, North Dakota to see her mom when her flight got delayed which would make her miss the connecting flight. Hannah told the flight attendant her situation, who told her at first they had already booked her on a flight the next day. But Hannah wasn’t sure her mom would be alive then. So the pilot, Captain Keith Napolitano, got in touch with the next pilot, who agreed to hold the plane for 30 minutes until she got there. Not only that, they bumped her to first class and explained to the passengers to let her get off first. A man next to her realized they were talking about her, and got a map of the next airport out so she knew exactly where to go to catch the next flight. And this will get you too, she said “the whole time I was picturing my mom and how she would run across the country for me, too.”

When she got to the next flight, they all happily greeted her saying “we’ve been waiting for you Hannah!” She shared her story on TikTok to make sure they got the acknowledgement for their kindness, and it’s been seen over 10 million times…
