The Florida Gators are moving on up in the national polls this week after winning both of their Southeastern Conference matchups, including a historic thrashing of the Tennessee Volunteers at home last Tuesday night.
The win over the Vols as well as one in Fayetteville against the Arkansas Razorbacks has given Todd Golden and Co. a boost in the rankings, moving up three spots to No. 5 and earning a first-place vote in the Associated Press Poll released on Monday.
That gives the Orange and Blue its highest ranking in the AP Poll for the 2024-24 campaign so far. It also marks the first time since December 2017 after a double overtime win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs that the program cracked the top five…
