Friends, family, colleagues, and local officials gathered at the Bossier Parish Courthouse on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, to celebrate the retirement of longtime public servant Butch Ford. The event, held in the packed police jury meeting room, highlighted Ford’s significant contributions to the Bossier Parish community during his distinguished career.
Ford, who began serving as parish engineer in 2003, played a key role in guiding Bossier Parish through a period of unprecedented growth, helping it become the fifth-fastest-growing parish in Louisiana. His expertise and leadership were critical in managing the infrastructure challenges that came with rapid expansion.
