The Wedge, an establishment dedicated to Wisconsin cheese and beer, will close for good on Jan. 16, it announced on social media on Sunday.
“It is bittersweet, but we have decided that it is best for us to close our doors and allow new ownership to come in and help the space at 2001 Atwood Ave. to thrive,” reads the Facebook post.
The bar opened in February 2024 in the former One Barrel Brewing Co. location. The bulk of the upscale sports bar’s menu featured build-your-own cheese boards and cold cheese sandwiches. Owner Jacob Guyette learned how to sniff out only the best cheeses during stints at several of Madison’s most prestigious restaurants, including L’Etoile.
