ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Former LSU Football wide receiver Kyren Lacy turned himself in to police on Sunday, Jan. 12, and was later released on bond in connection to charges in a hit-and-run on Dec. 17, 2024, that killed Herman Hall, 78.
Attorney Digger Earles with the Laborde Earles Injury Attorneys law firm plans on representing Hall’s family in a civil case.
“By all accounts, he [Hall] was a wonderful man,” Earles said. “He was a retired marine, he served this country, retired from the Marine Corps, retired from the Sheriff’s department. So, he literally spent his lifetime fighting for justice for all of us. So, I’m here to fight for justice for Mr. Herman.”
Lacy rose to fame this past season, leading LSU in receiving touchdowns and finishing second in yards. The 24-year-old declared for the 2025 NFL Draft in a social media post, just two days after the crash.
“It does tell us about who Kyren Lacy is,” Earles said. “He’s involved in this incident where a gentleman unfortunately lost his life, severely injuring Mr. Hall’s wife, and he leaves there and writes a heartfelt message to football fans telling that he’s entering the draft.”…
