Popular rock band cuts show short when drummer suffers medical emergency

Nonpoint had to cut its show short on Sunday after drummer Robb Rivera was forced to leave the stage and was eventually transported to the hospital, according to Loudwire.

The band issued a statement afterward explaining what happened.

“Thank you to the fans of Louisville for understanding us having to cut the set tonight,” the post on Instagram read. “Robb had a sudden shift in his heart rate that was dangerously high and the paramedics were not able to get it down in time so they took him to the hospital. As of now his heart rate is stable and they’re running tests. We’ll keep you all posted on his progress as news come in. Send them healing vibes our way so we can get our brother back on that drum throne. #prayersup.”

Loudwire reported that the band was performing at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, Kentucky. Rivera reportedly stood up during the show before eventually leaving the stage. The band retook the stage after a delay but cut the set short so that Ribera could go to the hospital…
