Milton Fire-Rescue Rolls Out Free Wellness Checks with EKGs to Promote Public Health

The Milton Fire-Rescue Department’s Fire CARES program is offering free wellness checks, which will be administered by Derek Hofmann, a firefighter, paramedic, and CARES team member. Starting this week, the checks will include blood pressure and glucose testing, as well as electrocardiograms (EKGs), according to a release from the City of Milton. These services aim to detect potential health issues early, providing a critical benefit to the community.

The Fire CARES program focuses on preventative care, with the goal of reducing hospital visits and emergency calls. The drop-in clinics will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on select dates, starting today at Community Place, next to City Hall.
