Healey on DOJ investigation of Worcester police: I’m confident in the city

WORCESTER ― Gov. Maura Healey on Tuesday said she was concerned about the recent U.S. Department of Justice report on the Worcester police , but confident in the city moving forward.

“I saw the news about those findings, and they were concerning, but I’m confident the city manager and the City of Worcester are working through those issues,” Healey said at an event at Union Station in response to a question from the Telegram & Gazette.

Healey, a Democrat, took the question during a brief press availability following a separate announcement regarding an $8 billion funding plan for the state’s transportation system…
