Caltrain’s Annual Celebration Train to Honor MLK Day, Departs from San Jose En Route to San Francisco

As the Bay Area prepares to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Caltrain is set to run its annual Celebration Train next Monday. According to Caltrain, this special service is designed for participants attending the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day events in San Francisco, courtesy of the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation (NorCalMLK).

The Celebration Train serves as a symbolic nod to the 54-mile Selma to Montgomery March, and it comes with a bonus for younger attendees, with reports of a free giveaway for the children on board. To join in on this mobile homage, guests must register in advance and secure a complimentary commemorative ticket.
