America may “run on Dunkin,'” according to one national chain, but Erie has its own unique caffeination stations. This cold, snowy January offers a chance to try them all, and warm up from the inside out with a locally roasted , or cat-accompanied , or sourdough-paired or book-shop partners to take in on the side.
We might not have found them all. Feel free to let us know if we missed any and we’ll get them added to the list and the map. We were very choosy, however, just listing the big-name franchises at the end, and leaving out the gas stations and other places that would qualify more as restaurants. This is not to imply that those places don’t have great coffee. But we were looking for the singular gems that, when you sink into their seats with your handcrafted joe, you could only be in Erie.
