State will appeal HB ID ruling

The legal struggles between the State of California and the City of Huntington Beach continued on Tuesday as the state Attorney General filed a notice of appeal of a court ruling upholding a voter ID law for Surf City.

Voters in March approved the city charter amendment allowing the city to require identification of people seeking to cast ballots in person.
