BOYS SOCCER: Weary Tarpons make Pirates walk plank

PORT CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte boys soccer team had to be exhausted following its game Wednesday against rival Port Charlotte.

Playing its third game in three nights, the Tarpons started to look ragged toward the end of their game. Despite that, they hung on and grabbed a 2-1 victory over the Pirates in their regular season finale.

Charlotte ends its regular season at 18-3-2. The Pirates, who still have a couple games left, lost its fifth straight to fall to 4-8-3…
