Police arrest 2 teens accused of Baton Rouge Christmas parade shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two teenagers wanted in connection to a downtown Christmas parade shooting that left a woman injured were arrested.

Eddie Monroe and Trevyon Collins, both 17, were charged with attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

Baton Rouge police officers responded to a reported shooting before 10 p.m. Dec. 14 on S. River Road. One woman was found with a single gunshot wound to her back and several shell casings were found across the levee. Arrest documents said over 40 shell casings were collected as evidence…
