CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — A Chicago man has been convicted by a federal grand jury in connection to multiple carjackings and kidnappings in which he allegedly sexually assaulted two women at gunpoint.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Andrew Anania, 29, was convicted Monday on two counts of kidnapping, one count of carjacking, and one count of using a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.
Prosecutors said Anania kidnapped an Uber driver on March 8th, 2021, in Darien. Authorities said Anania forced the driver to drive to Chicago at gunpoint and park in alleys where he sexually assaulted her…
