Brentwood’s Blades Brown, 17, finishes with even-par 72 in his first round as a pro

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WSMV) – Brentwood’s Blades Brown wrapped up his first round as a professional golfer with an even-par 72 at the American Express tournament in La Quinta, CA.

Brown bogeyed the second hole at La Quinta Country Club, then double-bogeyed the third. But, the 17-year-old reeled off three-straight birdies after that. He rode pars all the way through the 18th hold.

Brown officially turned pro in December, opting to forego college. In May of 2023, he finished tied for 26th as a sponsor’s exemption entrant in a PGA tour tournament in Myrtle Beach…
