CLARKSVILLE, TN − Warm your body and soul this February by attending the 17th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event. The goal of Empty Bowls is to raise awareness about hunger in our community while supporting Urban Ministries, Loaves & Fishes, and Manna Cafe.
One in five adults and one in four children in our community experience food insecurity. Local agencies are experiencing the growing demand for food and services in the current economy.
Between February 9 and February 23, twelve local churches and organizations will be offering either lunch or dinner events. The public is invited to attend any of the locations and enjoy a tasty meal of homecooked soup, along with bread and dessert — and take home a hand-painted bowl.
