Rainy Saturday, plowable snow Sunday: Latest weekend forecast, storm timelines, expected totals

A one-two punch of rain and snow is expected to make for a messy weekend in Massachusetts, then some of the coldest air of the season will grip the region.

Friday will be chilly and sunny, but Saturday will kick off a major shift in the weather heading into next weekend.

Temperatures will warm on Saturday and rain will swing during the late afternoon and evening with Bay State communities seeing between a quarter and half inch of precipitation. Skies are expected to clear out by Saturday night.
