Syracuse, N.Y. — School leaders at the Syracuse Academy of Science say they’ll reopen for in-person instruction on Wednesday January 22, two weeks after closing abruptly.
The school evacuated students and staff on January 7 after a night cleaner, Brian DeForge was found by a staff member dead in the cafeteria. When fire crews responded, their equipment detected high levels of the colorless, odorless, deadly gas carbon monoxide.
