TROY, Ohio (WKEF) — Just before the new year, the Miami County Animal Shelter took in 102 Shih Tzu dogs that were rescued from extremely poor conditions at a home on Stichter Road.
The homeowner, Nancy Snell, is facing five charges of animal cruelty. She has pleaded not guilty.
“Our normal capacity is 32 dogs. We have in the neighborhood of 128 dogs here at the shelter right now,” said Shelter Director Rob Craft. “It’s a lot more cleaning. It’s a lot more dogs that need to be bathed and fed, just the normal care that goes into taking care of the dogs that we have.”…
