(COLORADO SPRINGS)— As the FOX21 Storm Team has been reporting, an arctic cold front is set to move into the Pikes Peak Region. Colorado Springs officials are urging the public to prepare and are sharing how they plan to manage the extreme cold weather.
“It’s important the community take action to be prepared for this extreme weather,” Andrew Notbohm, Director of Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management explained. “This is an extreme cold event and it’s going to be an extended period of time, potentially life-threatening cold weather through Tuesday morning.”
If you don’t need to be outside in the next few days, officials advise staying home. For those with pets and livestock that are usually outdoors, make sure they are brought inside or are prepared for the elements.
