Fast break takes: LSU offense continues to slump in key moments

In what was the start of the most difficult three game stretch, LSU went to College Station and won in some crucial areas. But once again the Tigers had a difficult time getting out of their own way offensively, dropping a winnable game 68-57 to Texas A&M.

Buzz Williams teams are known for their physicality and early on LSU was able to match that effort, leading to a 30-30 halftime score. The second half, the Tigers (12-6, 1-4) saw the same issues that have plagued this team all season, turning the ball over 18 times with many of the costly mistakes coming in the crucial minutes of this game.

LSU actually held a narrow one point lead in the second half but the turnovers led to 19 points off for the Aggies. It’s hard to write about something different with the way this played out but the negative seems to always outweigh the positives…
