Celebrity chef José Andrés has commended Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for their volunteer efforts during the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

Andrés, who is a close friend of the couple, described their actions as “impressive” and highlighted their decision to assist despite facing criticism. He emphasized that they could have easily chosen to remain out of the spotlight, but instead chose to make a difference.

Andrés, who leads the non-profit organization World Central Kitchen, expressed his admiration for anyone who volunteers, regardless of their status. He praised the positive impact that Markle and Harry’s presence had on affected individuals and first responders.

The couple’s volunteer efforts extended beyond their own community. They also donated items to those affected in the Pacific Palisades area and opened their home in Montecito to friends displaced by the fires.

Markle also postponed the release of her upcoming Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” to focus on supporting wildfire relief efforts.
