Peachtree City, GA – Dense fog and bitter cold temperatures are expected to impact much of Georgia over the next two days, prompting advisories from the National Weather Service (NWS).
According to the NWS in Peachtree City, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday. Visibility is reduced to a quarter mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions. Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain a safe following distance.
Following the fog, a Cold Weather Advisory will take effect from 1 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday. Wind chills could drop as low as 6°F, increasing the risk of hypothermia for those without proper clothing or prolonged exposure to the cold.…
