Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee residents should prepare for dangerously cold wind chills as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through Monday morning. Temperatures will drop into the single digits tonight, with wind chills as low as -5°F, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Minor snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are also possible, particularly in higher elevations like the Cumberland Plateau.
The advisory is in place from 6 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday. NWS warns that the cold could result in hypothermia if proper precautions are not taken.
