6 people shot, injured across Chicago overnight in 4 separate incidents

The victims ranged in age between 19 and 41 years old. The shootings happened on Chicago’s North, South, and West sides.

The Chicago Police Department released preliminary information about each of the shootings.

  • Around 9:39 p.m., two 37-year-old men were in a parked car in the 5800 block of West Madison Street in the South Austin neighborhood when they were shot by an unidentified offender who fled the scene. One man was shot in the leg and taken to Loyola Hospital in good condition. The other victim had a graze wound to the leg and refused to be taken to the hospital.
