Popular Baton Rouge Bakery Sizing Up to a Bigger Location

Riding a wave of popularity since it opened in November 2021, Eloise Market and Cakery in Baton Rouge is preparing to move to a bigger location this summer in that city’s Garden District . According to a report from 225 magazine, the new location will be near the intersection of Perkins Road and Hundred Oaks Avenue. What Now New Orleans was able to contact the bakery, but owner Madelyn Schimdt was unavailable for comment due to the production demands for her bakery’s award-winning king cakes.

According to its official website, Eloise Market and Cakery started in Schmidt’s college apartment in August 2020 under the name MJ’s Cakez .
