Kaufman County teams shine at Texas UIL Spirit Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas — Kaufman County schools made a strong showing at the Texas UIL Spirit University Interscholastic League Championships, held January 16-18, 2025, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Crandall High School set a state record with its sixth state title, while Scurry-Rosser High School celebrated its first-ever championship win.

Crandall High School captured the UIL State Spirit Conference 5A-D2 title with a score of 96.07, according to the University Interscholastic League. Scurry-Rosser High School won the 2025 UIL State Spirit Conference 3A-D2 Championship, scoring 91.33. Other notable performances included Mabank High School placing sixth in the 4A DI State Championship Final with a score of 78.83, Kemp High School finishing ninth in the 4A DII State Championship Final with a score of 88.73, and Kaufman High School securing eighth place in the 5A DII State Championship Final with a score of 89.03…
