Ukrainian strikes have significantly reduced Russia’s artillery ammunition usage, according to Ukraine’s military commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Ukraine has been targeting Russian ammunition depots, oil facilities, and factories producing weaponry. These attacks have halved Russia’s daily artillery expenditure from 40,000 rounds to a much lower number.
Ukraine has carried out long-range strikes on Russian targets, including a fuel storage facility for bombers and a factory producing rocket parts and artillery ammunition.
These attacks have strained Russia’s ammo production and reserves, highlighting the importance of weaponry and manpower in the war.
Russia’s defense budget has surged to $131 billion in 2025 to meet the war’s demands. Despite this, Russia’s defense ministry has not responded to requests for comment.
