JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -We’ve issued a First Alert Weather Day due to the dangerous cold expected from today through Wednesday.
Highs today will reach the mid to upper 30s, but it will feel much colder as the day progresses. Stay bundled up, as we expect the coldest conditions of the year this week. Tonight, temperatures will drop into the 20s, and we could see some snow on Tuesday. Highs tomorrow will remain well below freezing across much of central Mississippi, with 1-2 inches of snow possible in the Jackson metro area and along the I-20 corridor. The heaviest snowfall is expected south of I-20, where areas could see more than 2 inches.
