Fort Worth residents can expect changes in public services and facility hours as the nation prepares to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Most City offices, including City Hall, will be closed today to observe Martin Luther King Day. However, emergency services will remain operational to ensure public safety.
One thing staying consistent, however, is the rhythm of trash pickups. According to the City of Fort Worth announcement, “There will be no changes to residential collections. Garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk will be collected as normal.” Residents can also note that Drop-Off Stations and the Environmental Collection Center will not welcome drop-offs on the holiday.
