The reconstruction of a vital bridge in East Multnomah County continues despite a minor slowing from a sandstone snag.
Work on building a new retaining wall for the Stark Street Bridge, which spans the Sandy River, began this week after crews had to unexpectedly extend excavation after running into sandstone, a hard material the standard excavator couldn’t deal with.
