NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -The construction of a new home in North Nashville forced a restaurant owner to close her business for nearly a week. The Fire Marshal’s Office said Silver Sands Soul Food had a code violation that posed a fire risk.
The issue sparked from how closely the new development was being built next to the restaurant on Locklayer Street. For more than 75 years, the two buildings stood just inches apart.
