Another State of Emergency has been activated for Georgia, now through Jan. 28, due to freezing cold temperatures and more snow predicted for the metro-area less than two weeks after parts of DeKalb County saw up to four inches of snowfall.
In response, county and city officials, as well as administrations with both DeKalb County School District (DCSD) and City Schools of Decatur (CSD) announced closures on Jan. 21.
“As a result of the pending inclement weather, DeKalb County offices, senior centers, libraries, recreation centers, the Sanitation Division’s customer service desk and the Planning Department’s One Stop Shop will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21,” announced DeKalb County officials…
