PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) — This week’s Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses Hometown Sports Hero is Drew Herren.
The Wheeler School Freshman was called up to the Varsity as an 8th grader last Winter and his free throws helped the Warriors clinch the NEPSAC Class C Large Title, the second NEPSAC title in school history.
“If you see him in practice, he’s ready for the big moments,” said Wheeler Basketball Coach Ben Silvia. “He comes in, he prepares. Again, it’s practice. He comes in with a great mindset and he works for it so he knows when he steps up to the free throw line, he’s going 2-2.”…
