Fullerton businesses overwhelmed with donations for L.A. wildfire relief

As of Sunday, the Palisades and Eaton fires have become the most destructive wildfires in L.A. County history — destroying more than 14,000 structures. In the past couple of weeks, certain restaurants and clothing stores became storage units for the donated items of clothes, perishable foods and water.

Some L.A. donation centers have also closed donations due to the heavy quantity of items, forcing a few Fullerton businesses to halt the donation process and redirect attention to organizations still accepting.

Vintage clothing store The Collective in downtown Fullerton began accepting donations the same week the fires broke out. Sophia Limon, a vintage reseller for The Collective, helped to coordinate a relief effort under the support of the store’s owner to utilize the store’s location as a drop-off location for donated items…
