GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 13-year-old boy was arrested today at Westwood Middle School after a handgun was found in his backpack.
According to the Gainesville Police Department Public Information Officer, the boy brought a gun to school in his backpack, and school staff received a tip about the gun. The School Resource Officer detained the student, and a search of the backpack reportedly produced a handgun…
