Set your sights on a good cause! Edgewater Crew, a local non-profit athletic organization, is hosting its yearly fundraiser next month to ‘row’ in the funds needed to continue its extracurricular youth program.
The fundraising event, called Boathouse Benefit, is an annual fundraiser hosted by the organization to raise the necessary funds to continue its rowing program for youth in the Orlando community. Jeremy Hilton, vice president of Edgewater Crew, echoed the importance of the event, as the organization relies entirely on rower dues and donations, along with fundraising events.
“Our program receives no funding from the State of Florida or OCPS,” Hilton wrote in an email. “Support from the community, whether it be general donations or events like the Boathouse Benefit, are critical to our mission of growing the sport of rowing.”…
