Nature’s Nursery to offer paid internships for first time

WATERVILLE, Ohio (WTVG) – Nature’s Nursery has announced it is now offering paid internships for the first time.

Executive director Allison Aey said she applied for a grant from Conservation Nation, which only one organization per region gets chosen for. Nature’s Nursery was the organization that was selected and it is now able to offer three paid internships this spring through fall.

“There’s not a lot of wildlife rehabilitation centers in the area. We cover an 18-county region so, if you figure, there’s only one or two per state and you’ve got a handful of college grads that are looking to get that kind of experience with wildlife,” said Aey. “It’s definitely competitive to grab one of those positions…
