AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas School Counselor Association is recognizing two school counseling departments from Region 16 as recipients of the Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas (CREST) Award.
According to officials from Region 16, the honor highlights their “outstanding school counseling programs and commitment to excellence in serving students and their communities.”
Officials noted the 2024 CREST Award recipients from Region 16 are:
- Hereford ISD:
- Bena Blasscock,
- Abrie Castillo,
- and Kalyn Taylor
- Dumas ISD:
- Lisa Hatley,
- and Tonie Crawford
Officials noted the CREST Award will be presented to these counselors during the Panhandle School Leaders Association meeting on Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. at Region 16’s Bell Street Campus.
