The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 9:58 a.m. EST on Thursday for snow until noon EST for Ionia, Clinton, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Calhoun and Jackson counties.
“Brief bursts of heavy snow moving east of Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo at 10 a.m. will impact south central Lower Michigan through Noon including Lansing and Jackson.
