The city of Fayetteville is launching a search for a new police chief who can nurture strong community ties, fill departmental vacancies and continue the initiatives established by previous leadership, city officials said.

The search begins as current Fayetteville Police Chief Kemberle Braden prepares to retire after two years in the position.
