An Altamonte Springs man who lost his license after a drunk driving conviction landed in more trouble after tossing a beer bottle out of his vehicle’s window.
A deputy observed a green Ford Explorer pass him near the intersection of U.S. Highway 19 and County Road 42, Umatilla, around 3:25 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, later identified as 51-year-old Felix Lisboa, made direct eye contact with the deputy who had a clear view of his face as he passed.
The deputy got behind the vehicle and ran the tag, revealing the registered owner, Lisboa, had a suspended license. He ran Lisboa’s license and was able to identify him using the picture. It was also learned that he had two previous convictions for driving while his license was suspended, and it was currently suspended for DUI as of Sept. 1, 2023, the report said.
Upon initiating a traffic stop near County Roads 42 and 50, Lisboa pulled over into the driveway at 20211 CR 42. As the deputy pulled behind him, Lisboa drove behind the house, causing the deputy to lose sight of him. The deputy turned behind the house in time to see Lisboa getting out and throwing what seemed to be a green bottle of some kind away from his vehicle, the report said…
